Next, the Swatara State Park is about 11 miles north of the house. This outdoor oasis features 3,520 acres of outdoor recreation. There are 18.2 miles of hiking trails for biking, hiking and horseback riding. There are also several access points to Swatara Creek for tubing, canoeing, kayaking, or fishing.
Another great spot for outdoor recreation is the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail which has an access point within the community. This is a national recreation trail that runs throughout the county and connects to trails in surrounding counties. It is a great spot for walking, riding bike or horseback riding in some areas. Two local railroads, The Cornwall & Lebanon Railroad and The Cornwall Railroad make up the rebuilt trail. Once completed this will be a 25-mile trail. There are multiple trail heads throughout the county.
