The township is a part of the Myerstown Community in Eastern Lebanon County. The Myerstown community is a classic American small-town with great walkability and collection of main street businesses.

Next, the Swatara State Park is about 14 miles north of the house. This outdoor oasis features 3,520 acres of outdoor recreation. There are 18.2 miles of hiking trails for biking, hiking and horseback riding. There are also several access points to Swatara Creek for tubing, canoeing, kayaking, or fishing.
Another great spot for outdoor recreation is the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail. This is a national recreation trail that runs throughout the county and connects to trails in surrounding counties. It is a great spot for walking, riding bike or horseback riding in some areas. The trail is a combination of two local historical railroads, The Cornwall & Lebanon Railroad and The Cornwall Railroad. Once completed this will be a 25-mile trail. There are multiple trail heads throughout the county.
School District…
